When Robert Downey Jr. suffered a serious injury and had to take 6 weeks to recover, Shane Black and co. obviously kept production going on Marvel’s Iron Man threequel..but they didn’t only shoot scenes without Tony Stark in them. For that last scene with Tony overlooking the beach from the ruins of his mansion for example, a body double was used and Downey Jr.’s face superimposed in much the same fashion as the “Skinny Steve” version of Chris Evans was created in Captain America (x)
